About the role#
Join the FIS University Summer Internship Program to gain hands-on experience in risk and cybersecurity. You will work alongside professionals to protect the systems and data that power global financial services. This program provides exposure to multiple areas including risk management, governance, compliance, and security operations through mentorship and team projects.
What you'll do#
- Support teams in identifying, assessing, and monitoring cybersecurity and operational risks.
- Assist with data analysis, reporting, and dashboard development.
- Participate in security monitoring, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and compliance initiatives.
- Contribute to projects that strengthen security controls, business resilience, and risk mitigation.
- Research emerging cybersecurity threats, industry trends, and regulatory developments.
- Collaborate with technology, product, engineering, and business teams.
- Document processes, findings, and project outcomes.
- Present your insights and results to mentors and program leaders.
- Participate in professional development activities to build technical and leadership skills.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Risk Management, Business Analytics, Finance, Mathematics, or Engineering.
- You must be a rising senior graduating between December 2027 and May 2028.
- Basic proficiency with AI-enabled tools.
- Fluency in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A drive to learn, adaptability, and the ability to solve problems.
- Capability to work well both independently and in a team environment.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship running from May 31, 2027, to August 6, 2027.
- The position is on-site in Jacksonville, FL, Atlanta, GA, or Milwaukee, WI.
- Sponsorship is not available for this role.
