Qualified candidates will: Be physically located within the United States during the entire duration of the internship Have a basic understanding of information technology, networking, operating systems and security - resume and application must clearly reflect this knowledge in order to be considered Have exposure to one or more programming languages (Python, JavaScript, Java, or similar) and interest in reading and analyzing code Have a genuine passion for information security Be motivated and eager to learn new skills Demonstrate a willingness to learn and use AI-enabled tools Have demonstrated efforts toward entering cybersecurity, which may include: Obtaining certifications Attending trainings Pursuing a formal education Participating in industry organizations Contributing to personal or industry projects This position is not available for candidates living in the following states: Alaska, California, Hawaii, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Washington and Wyoming. Internship Details and Expectations: This is a part-time, remote paid internship ($20hr) that is offered as part of the GPSU program supporting our Application Security Practice. Interns are expected to: Work a majority of hours between 11am-4pm EST Monday through Friday, ranging from 25-29hrs/wk Have a personal computing device and access to high-speed internet during working hours The below perks are for those that join GuidePoint Security for full-time employment only.
