About the role#
The GPSU Military Federal Fellowship is designed for separating service members transitioning into technical federal roles. This program facilitates an internship experience through DoD Skillbridge, the Army Career Skills Program, or Hiring Our Heroes. Fellows will work in classified environments and must be prepared for on-site work at designated locations.
What you'll do#
- Work closely with industry-leading subject matter experts to provide cyber security services.
- Complete in-house training programs to build technical expertise.
- Engage in hands-on technical development and real-world security response.
- Participate in collaborative project work and team shadowing.
- Gain experience through partner-led vendor training and certifications.
What you'll need#
- Separation from active-duty military service within the next 18 months.
- An active security clearance at the Top Secret level or higher.
- Eligibility to conduct an internship through DoD Skillbridge, Army Career Skills Program, or Hiring Our Heroes.
- Basic knowledge of networking, common security tools, and practices.
- Ability to work on-site in a classified environment.
- Current location within the United States for the duration of the fellowship.
- Preference is given to individuals currently serving in IT, intelligence, or cyber roles.

- Location: Reston, Virginia (with additional on-site work required in St. Louis, MO; Bowling, VA; Chantilly, VA; Quantico, VA; Springfield, VA; and Washington, DC).
