GPSU Military - Commercial Fellowship

About the role#

The GPSU Military - Commercial Fellowship is designed for separating service members and military spouses seeking to transition into commercial cybersecurity roles. This program offers a structured environment to gain professional experience while working alongside industry-leading subject matter experts.

What you'll do#

Fellows participate in a variety of activities to build their security expertise, including:

• Engage in hands-on technical development and real-world security response.
• Participate in collaborative project work.
• Shadow team members and specific positions to understand organizational workflows.
• Complete in-house training programs and partner-led vendor certifications.

What you'll need#

• You are separating from active-duty service within the next 18 months.
• You are eligible to conduct a fellowship through DoD Skillbridge, Army Career Skills Program, Hiring Our Heroes, or MSEP.
• You possess at least a basic knowledge of networking, common security tools, and practices.
• You have a passion for information security.
• Preference is given to those currently serving in IT or cyber positions.
• Relevant academic backgrounds include Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Business Administration.

Location & details#

• This fellowship is fully remote.
• You must be located within the United States for the entire duration of the fellowship and any potential future full-time employment.
• This is a paid position.
• The program operates on a rolling basis.
