About the role#
Sentinel Technologies is looking for an IT Intern to join our Microsoft focused project team for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Downers Grove, Illinois. You will work alongside our engineers to gain practical experience and bridge the gap between your classroom studies and real-world implementation. At the conclusion of the program, internal hiring managers will review your performance to determine eligibility for future employment opportunities.
What you'll do#
- Shadow and train with experienced engineers to build technical competencies.
- Learn to work with Microsoft technologies, including Azure cloud, M365, and PowerShell.
- Apply your academic knowledge to hands-on projects.
- Travel between locations to support project needs and transport equipment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a junior or higher in a Bachelor’s degree program for Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- A valid driver’s license, a personal vehicle, and proof of insurance for required travel.
- A positive can-do attitude and the ACE factor, which includes attitude, compassion, and enthusiasm.
- Legal authorization to work in the US without sponsorship.
- Experience with Microsoft systems, cloud, or data centers is helpful but not required.
- Certifications such as AZ-900, MS-900, AI-900, or SC-900 are a plus.
