About the role#
As a student in the Fidelity Clearing Canada (FCC) IT division, you will support technology projects that provide trade execution, clearing, and custody services to brokerage firms and portfolio managers. You will work within an Agile Scrum framework to assist with business requirements and technical solutions.
What you'll do#
- Support current business and technology projects through information gathering, analysis, and quality assurance.
- Perform test automation and identify potential bug fixes or functionality gaps.
- Work directly with business users to gather requirements and build solutions.
- Write user stories within an Agile Scrum framework.
- Review existing processes and procedures to recommend improvements for efficiency.
- Conduct research for new technology initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a registered university co-op program, ideally in your 3rd or 4th year of a Computer Science or related technical degree.
- Strong understanding of Angular and Java.
- Knowledge of application servers.
- A keen interest in web and mobile development.
- Creative aptitude for user experience design and client experience standards.
- Current work authorization for Canada.
