About the role#
Fidelity Canada is seeking a student for the Emerging Technologies team for the Winter 2027 term. This full-time, hybrid position offers the opportunity to work on either automation-focused initiatives or technology research. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, sales, marketing, and finance to shape digital investment strategies and improve customer experiences.
What you'll do#
- Design autonomous programs covering the full product lifecycle from requirements to testing.
- Assist internal stakeholders in transitioning manual workflows to automated processes.
- Define technology roadmaps and long-term customer strategy.
- Research current developments in the technology industry and identify market trends.
- Analyze data on stakeholder and customer preferences to assist in feature prioritization.
- Collaborate with industry partners such as Gartner Research.
- Deliver integrated automated solutions across financial platforms.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with automation or logic tools.
- Ability to use programming logic to solve complex problems.
- Experience managing a project from conceptualization through development.
- Familiarity with generative AI for small-scale solutions.
- Coding or UI/UX experience.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesize information into clear conclusions.
- Advanced skills in recognizing and debugging code.
- Availability to work on a full-time basis for the duration of the term.
