About the role#
As a student in Digital Applications Development, you will join our team to support the creation and maintenance of web and mobile applications. You will work alongside experienced team members to build, test, and debug new digital products while helping us explore our next generation web platform. This is a paid, full-time position for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Analyze online customer behavior and build classification models.
- Participate in developing proof of concept responsive web designs.
- Assist with the investigation of our next generation web platform.
- Collaborate with business partners to identify, recommend, and prioritize new application features.
- Design, code, test, debug, and implement new web pages, sites, and mobile applications.
- Complete ad hoc programming assignments to support the Digital Applications Development team.
What you'll need#
- Working towards a university degree in Computer Science or a related technical program, ideally in your 3rd or 4th year.
- Strong understanding of internet programming languages including Java, JavaScript, HTML/HTML5, CSS, CSS3, and jQuery.
- Creative aptitude focused on User Experience Design and a strong interest in usability and client experience standards.
- Knowledge of application servers like Tomcat or automation tools like Selenium is an asset.
- Current work authorization for Canada is required.
- Availability to work on a full-time basis for the duration of the co-op term.
