    About the role#

    This internship provides hands-on experience within the Waterworks division. It is a 12-week program designed to give you exposure to safety, survey and estimating, project supervision, and field engineering. You will work directly on-site to support active projects.

    What you'll do#

    • Learn to perform Job Hazard Analysis and Hazard Safety Observations.
    • Use and apply required Personal Protective Equipment for all jobsite activities.
    • Monitor sites to observe and prevent safety incidents.
    • Conduct regular jobsite audits.
    • Interpret construction plans and set layouts.
    • Survey for quantities and practice accurate conversions.
    • Assess the man-hours and materials required for production.
    • Communicate and delegate work plans to field crews.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in a 4-year degree program for Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering, Construction Science, or a related field.
    • A solid grasp of construction math concepts.
    • Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
    • Computer skills in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
    • Physical ability to perform field-based construction work, including manual dexterity to handle items and work with your fingers.

    • The role is full-time and on-site.
    • This is a paid internship.
