About the role#
Felix Construction Company is hiring a Construction Management Intern to work out of our Dallas, Texas office. This is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling start date. You will work directly with project managers and field supervisors on water, wastewater, and industrial infrastructure projects.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate with field supervisors on work packages and materials tracking.
- Assist supervisors and project managers with quality control practices.
- Attend bid, construction, and design-build meetings.
- Coordinate subcontractors and material suppliers.
- Prepare quantity take-offs.
- Prepare project documentation, including submittals, requests for information, operations and maintenance manuals, project logs, and schedules.
- Complete an assigned project and present your results to the team.
- Gain exposure to various areas of our business.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a 4-year degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or Construction Management.
- Interest in a career in water, wastewater, or industrial construction.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, Teams) and Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to communicate effectively and listen attentively.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- A proactive approach to learning and taking on new challenges.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and occasionally access protected work at heights, trenches, excavations, or confined spaces, including the use of ladders or scaffolds.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely without sponsorship.
