About the role#
Felix Construction Company offers a hands-on internship program for students interested in construction management. You will work directly with experienced leaders on real projects and gain practical experience in our Phoenix office. This role is a full-time, paid position that offers exposure to the operations of an employee-owned company.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate with field supervisors to track work packages and materials.
- Assist project managers and supervisors with quality control practices.
- Prepare project documentation including submittals, RFI’s, O&M manuals, and schedules.
- Manage coordination with subcontractors and material suppliers.
- Perform quantity take-offs.
- Attend bid, construction, and design-build meetings.
- Complete an assigned project and present your results to the team.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a 4-year degree program for Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Construction Management.
- Interest in a career within the water, wastewater, or industrial construction sectors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, Teams) and Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to occasionally access protected work sites, including heights, trenches, or confined spaces.
- Ability to traverse uneven terrain and work in various weather conditions.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
