About the role#
The Federal Reserve Bank of New York is hiring a Summer Intern for the People & Engagement Group. This full-time, paid internship provides undergraduate students with 10 weeks of project-based work within the Financial Analysis Services Team. You will work on-site in New York to support the stability of the financial system through data analysis and reporting.
What you'll do#
- Conduct data analysis and create visualizations to resolve data quality anomalies.
- Research inquiries related to data series, reporters, and specific data concepts.
- Communicate with financial institutions to improve data quality and internal controls.
- Collaborate with team members to respond to requests from Board staff regarding data collection operations.
- Update procedure documents and assist peers with data collections.
What you'll need#
- Expected graduation between Winter 2027 and Spring 2028.
- Pursuing a degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or Computer Science.
- Familiarity with financial statements, including income statements and balance sheets.
- Experience identifying discrepancies in data and reporting.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
