    About the role#

    The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia is seeking undergraduate juniors and seniors for a paid, full-time engineering construction co-op within the Facilities Department. This role involves project-oriented assignments and professional development focused on managing and maintaining bank operations.

    What you'll do#

    • Manage projects including office renovations, AC unit and VAV replacements, and equipment upgrades for chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and AHUs.
    • Assist with Building Automation System (BMS/BAS) integration.
    • Evaluate existing mechanical and electrical distribution systems.
    • Take accurate notes during meetings.
    • Conduct problem research and identify alternative solutions within defined guidelines.
    • Work with limited supervision while demonstrating initiative.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment as a student majoring in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management.
    • Intermediate related work or volunteer experience (a second-year co-op is strongly preferred).
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
    • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit 3D modeling software.
    • Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to act as a logical thinker and problem solver.
    • Physical ability to walk in mechanical spaces, climb 10-foot fixed ladders, stand for long periods, and lift up to 30 pounds.
