About the role#
As an IT Internal Audit Intern at F&G, you will report to the Manager of IT Internal Audit. You will collaborate with department members and consultants to perform audits and reviews. This role involves working with management across the organization to build professional relationships and assess the internal control environment.
What you'll do#
- Participate in entry to intermediate level IT audits, reviews, and transaction analysis.
- Test the operational effectiveness of IT general controls and document your results.
- Assist in evaluating internal controls related to company policies and procedures.
- Communicate identified issues, risks, and control deficiencies to senior leadership.
- Provide observations to help improve control and operational processes.
- Research and analyze complex information as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of information technologies and information systems.
- Understanding of relevant risks and controls.
- Ability to communicate risks and issues clearly.
- Capacity to offer suggestions for operational improvements.

- This position is based in Des Moines, Iowa.
- We offer flexible work arrangements, including remote, hybrid, and on-site options, which you will coordinate with your manager.
- This is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling term.
