About the role#
Join F&G as a Summer 2027 intern to gain hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, DevSecOps, and modern deployment practices. You will partner with our DevSecOps and Cloud Engineering teams to support critical infrastructure operations, automation, and CI/CD initiatives. This role reports to the Cloud Enablement Manager and involves regular collaboration across the IT organization.
What you'll do#
- Assist team members with infrastructure and deployment problem resolution.
- Support teams with Infrastructure as Code and automation processes.
- Develop, test, document, and implement infrastructure enhancements.
- Create technical and release documentation with team members.
- Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and resolve production issues.
- Support CI/CD pipeline development and optimization.
- Participate in security assessments and vulnerability remediation.
- Assist with GitHub deployment support, PR reviews, and deployment troubleshooting.
- Provide general and administrative team support.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cloud Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with cloud platforms, specifically Azure.
- Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and ACA.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Understanding of CI/CD principles, GitHub, and version control.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle processes.
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix and scripting in Bash or Python.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot or ChatGPT.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to deliver work on time with accuracy.
