About the role#
F&G is hiring a Business Intelligence Intern for the Summer 2027 term. You will work with the Business Intelligence team to support Retail Sales and Operations. This role focuses on data analysis, exploration, report dashboarding, and data preparation.
What you'll do#
- Learn about existing data processes and identify business data needs.
- Meet with business users to discuss data shortfalls and gather requirements for reporting applications.
- Set functional specifications for new reports.
- Develop automated reports and dashboards using Tableau, SQL Server Management Studio, and Excel.
- Create ETL processes using Alteryx to extract and load data.
- Work with developers to automate reporting tasks.
- Document and apply Tableau best practices.
- Help Tableau Server users with access questions and technical issues.
- Present data insights in clear, visual formats.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of an Associate or Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Data Analytics, Information Science, or Information Systems.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Strong SQL development skills, including the ability to write complex queries.
- Understanding of data preparation and dashboarding principles.
- Experience with operating systems and commercial software.
- Ability to document technical processes clearly.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with Tableau Software is preferred.
- Familiarity with Life Insurance and Indexed Annuity data is a plus.
