About the role#
As a Financial Reporting Intern, you will join our team for the Summer 2027 term. You will report to a Senior Accountant and assist the department with the financial close process. This role involves preparing reports for stakeholders and working with various levels of management across the organization.
What you'll do#
- Help prepare and tie out GAAP and Statutory financial statements and reporting packages.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and analyze financial data.
- Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation.
- Support the monthly and quarterly close calendar and coordinate related activities.
- Assist with requests from internal and external auditors.
- Handle ad hoc requests and special projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- A major in Accounting or Finance.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher within your major.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining confidentiality.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- A motivated mindset with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team with professionals at all levels.
- An interest in a career within the financial services industry is preferred.

- This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027.
- We offer flexible work arrangements including remote, hybrid, and on-site options based in Des Moines, Iowa.
