About the role#
F&G is hiring an intern for the Strategic Sourcing and Vendor Management (SS-VM) team for the Summer 2027 term. You will gain experience in professional development and networking while supporting the team with operational efficiency and process improvements.
What you'll do#
- Build and maintain the SS-VM SharePoint site.
- Enhance existing SS-VM processes.
- Complete third-party vendor risk assessments.
- Customize reporting and dashboards in the new vendor risk tool.
- Review invoices to confirm vendors are in the database with a valid contract.
- Review, redline, negotiate, and complete NDAs and Events contracts.
- Draft new staff augmentation contracts and extensions.
- Analyze data and spend across companies to identify common vendors.
- Attend weekly team meetings to collaborate on projects.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Strategic Sourcing, Risk Management, Finance, or a related field.
- Interest in a career within the financial services industry.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Exposure to SharePoint and computer programming languages.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and a desire to analyze data.
- Initiative and a willingness to learn internal processes.

- This internship is based in Des Moines, Iowa.
- F&G offers flexible work arrangements including remote, on-site, and hybrid options.
- This is a paid, full-time position.
