About the role#
The Compensation Intern supports our Human Resources team by providing administrative and analytical help for compensation programs. You will assist in maintaining equitable pay practices across our corporate, retail, distribution, and manufacturing operations. This role involves preparing data, managing reports, and coordinating various compensation processes.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the administration and maintenance of compensation programs.
- Prepare data, reports, and summaries to support compensation analysis.
- Collect, validate, and submit data for compensation surveys.
- Help Compensation Analysts with wage reviews, job data requests, and market research.
- Provide administrative support for the annual compensation planning cycle, including system setup and data validation.
- Support Workday Compensation administration by handling inquiries, routing tickets, and ensuring data accuracy.
- Develop and maintain routine HR and compensation reports.
- Document process updates, procedures, and guidelines.
- Gather data for compliance requirements, such as FLSA reviews and pay transparency.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive employee and wage information.
- Complete special projects as assigned by the Compensation team.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in an associate or bachelor degree program, ideally in Business Administration.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to identify problems and execute solutions.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a professional, friendly demeanor.

- This internship is located at our corporate office in West Des Moines, Iowa.
- This is an on-site role and is not eligible for remote work.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Employment type: Part-time.
- This position is paid.
