About the role#
F&G is hiring Actuarial Interns for the Summer 2027 program. You will support actuarial teams across departments including Risk Management, Asset Liability Management, Valuation, Corporate, Modeling, and Pricing & Design. This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship based in Iowa.
What you'll do#
- Apply actuarial principles to analyze results under manager direction.
- Use technical tools such as Microsoft Excel, VBA, SQL, R, and AXIS software to complete your work.
- Produce professional files and result summaries, occasionally presenting your findings to internal audiences.
- Manage assigned tasks and projects to completion.
- Create and maintain process documentation for your assigned tasks.
- Participate in internship activities to learn about the actuarial profession and F&G operations.
What you'll need#
- Working towards a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical field.
- 1-3 actuarial exams passed is preferred.
- An interest in pursuing an FSA designation.
- Preferred but not required: exposure to Fixed Indexed Annuity, Universal Life, Pension Risk Transfer, or similar insurance products.
- Preferred: exposure to AXIS or similar actuarial modeling software.
