About the role#
This is a full-time co-op position based at our facility in Verona, Wisconsin. You will join a small team to build web applications and command line tools that support our engineering and manufacturing processes. This role requires a commitment to a full-time, on-site schedule, which typically involves taking a semester off from your studies.
What you'll do#
- Write code for new projects and features.
- Find and fix bugs in existing systems.
- Improve our development workflows and environments.
- Use languages and tools such as PHP, Symfony, Python, Django, JavaScript, and MySQL.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related degree program.
- Experience with Python, PHP, or other dynamic languages.
- Knowledge of object-oriented design principles and common design patterns.
- Familiarity with software development practices like Git, GitLab, package management, automated testing, and code review.
- Comfort working in a Linux-based environment.
