About the role#
Extreme Engineering Solutions is looking for a data-focused student to support our sales, operations, and engineering departments. You will build dimensional data models and create interactive dashboards to help our team make data-driven decisions. This is a paid, full-time position that requires you to work on-site at our Verona, Wisconsin facility. We offer terms for Winter/Summer 2027 or Summer/Fall 2027, which typically requires taking a semester off from school.
What you'll do#
- Work with sales, operations, and engineering teams to identify data requirements and solve technical challenges.
- Analyze business performance data to find opportunities for improvement.
- Design and build dimensional data models using dbt-core.
- Create dashboards in Apache Superset to answer key business questions.
- Use judgment and creativity to accomplish project goals.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with research and data analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills and overall proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Clear written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Familiarity with dimensional data modeling, BI tools, Python programming, and version control systems is preferred.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
