About the role#
EXP is looking for a Building Performance Intern to join the team in Coral Gables. You will support energy, sustainability, and facility assessment projects. This role involves working with engineers and architects to evaluate building performance and collect data for real-world projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist with building and facility assessments.
- Support energy audits, utility data analysis, and benchmarking activities.
- Collect and organize field data, photos, and building information.
- Evaluate building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building envelope components.
- Support technical reports, presentations, and data analysis.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams on facility improvement projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Engineering, Building Science, Sustainability, Architecture, Construction Management, or Environmental Science.
- Interest in building performance, energy efficiency, sustainability, and resiliency.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Preferred: Coursework or experience related to building systems, energy, or facility assessments, and familiarity with tools like energy modeling, GIS, or AutoCAD.
