About the role#
Graco offers a rolling internship program for students pursuing degrees in Machine Tool Technology or maintenance-related fields. This role provides hands-on manufacturing experience, allowing you to work on advanced equipment and support current production needs while completing your education.
What you'll do#
- Operate assigned machines within the department while learning setups and troubleshooting under the supervision of full-time machinists.
- Perform periodic quality checks and ensure parts meet inspection requirements using hard gauging and CMM.
- Package, wash, and deburr parts as directed.
- Work on current work orders, including CNC machines, test benches, and assembly fixtures.
- Help organize and clean maintenance storage areas and keep your workspace tidy.
- Collaborate with team members to support department expectations and safety standards.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a two-year Machine Tool Technology program or a maintenance-related degree, such as electrical, electronics, hydraulics, fluid power, or robotics.
- Good academic standing with a C average or better.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Commitment to following all safety rules and using required personal protective equipment.
Location & details#
- Location: North Canton, Ohio.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Flexible shifts to accommodate your current course load.
- Physical requirements: Ability to stand for 3 hours, walk for 4 hours, and sit for 1 hour during an 8-hour shift. The role requires frequent bending, stooping, and repetitive elbow movements. You must be able to lift and load up to 45 lbs.
