About the role#
The CNC Machine Mechanic Intern will support the maintenance and repair of machine tools and manufacturing assets at the Anoka facility. This role involves working with hydraulics, mechanical elements, and electrical systems to ensure equipment operates efficiently. This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship.
What you'll do#
- Assist in performing preventative maintenance and repairs on machine tools and assembly equipment.
- Conduct testing and repairs involving hydraulics, mechanical elements, and electrical components.
- Troubleshoot machinery issues to determine the appropriate course of action.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
- Support operational requirements by minimizing waste and caring for facility equipment.
- Maintain a productive work environment while following all safety guidelines and using required personal protective equipment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program such as Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Aerospace, or Biomedical Engineering, or Physics.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for immigration sponsorship.
- Basic understanding of hydraulics, mechanics, electrical systems, and electronics.
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot machinery issues.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and the use of personal protective equipment.
