About the role#
Metron is looking for students to join our Technical Summer Internship program for the summer of 2027. You will work in small teams alongside experienced technical staff and a dedicated mentor. This role focuses on practical experience through collaborative projects that support national security systems. At the end of the program, you will share your accomplishments and lessons learned with the team.
What you'll do#
- Develop and test algorithms.
- Create user interface components.
- Write scripts to support large-scale defense and homeland security systems.
- Work with a mentor on collaborative projects.
- Showcase your work and share insights at the end of the internship.
What you'll need#
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Minimum age of 16.
- Completed coursework in computer science, mathematics, physics, or engineering.
- Programming experience in Java, C++, Rust, Python, or TypeScript.
- Familiarity with designing and implementing GUIs.
- Familiarity with web development, data structures, and algorithms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
