About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience within the Privacy and Third Party Risk Department at Erie Insurance. You will work on-site at our corporate office in Erie, Pennsylvania, during the summer of 2027. This is a full-time, paid position designed to help you build professional skills while contributing to real business objectives.
What you'll do#
- Assess risks associated with doing business with third parties.
- Learn core risk management principles and response techniques.
- Gain experience using specialized risk management technology.
- Participate in a project to improve the Third Party Risk Management Program.
- Conduct research, gather information, and help create presentations.
- Analyze data and report your findings.
- Verify and enter data into systems and update electronic files.
- Provide administrative and clerical support as needed.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing a four-year or master's degree.
- Completion of at least your sophomore year, with a graduation date between spring 2026 and spring 2028.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 is highly preferred.
- Strong writing, communication, and analytical skills are highly preferred.
- Familiarity with risk management practices and a major in Risk Management are highly preferred.
- Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.

- Term: Summer 2027 (May 17 or May 24 to August 6).
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $19.57 per hour.
