    About the role#

    This internship offers hands-on experience within the Actuarial Division at our corporate office. You will work alongside experienced staff on projects related to pricing, reserving, and modeling for auto, property, and commercial lines of business. This role provides exposure to the actuarial profession and how analysis informs business decisions.

    What you'll do#

    • Conduct actuarial studies and assist in the analysis of insurance programs, profitability, and rating factors.
    • Create exhibits, reports, and charts to support actuarial and reserve studies.
    • Write programs in SAS and Visual Basic to extract and format data for analysis.
    • Review data for accuracy and reasonableness.
    • Present findings and proposals to management.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a four-year or master's degree program with a major in Mathematics or Statistics.
    • Completion of your sophomore year of college.
    • A minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0.
    • Proficiency in probability and statistics.
