About the role#
As an IT Internal Audit intern, you will gain hands-on experience in the insurance industry. This role focuses on developing your understanding of risk management, information systems controls, and identity and access management. You will work within the Internal Audit department to help evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management and governance processes.
What you'll do#
- Participate in IT audit projects to identify risks and test control environments.
- Use business systems to document tests, communicate findings, and complete audit assignments.
- Apply data analysis tools and visualization software to project tasks.
- Conduct research, gather information, and assist in creating presentations.
- Analyze data and report your findings to the team.
- Verify and enter data into systems while maintaining electronic files.
- Provide clerical and administrative support as needed.
- Network with internal audit staff, IT process owners, and company leaders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at an accredited college or university.
- Pursuit of a Bachelor's degree with completion of your sophomore year in a relevant field such as Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software is preferred.

- This is an on-site internship based in Erie, Pennsylvania.
- The program runs for the Summer 2027 term.
- This is a paid, full-time position.
