About the role#
Ericsson Canada's AI Hub in Montreal focuses on 5G-related challenges. As 5G networks grow in complexity, machine learning and AI are essential for network management and optimization. As an intern, you will join a collaborative team working with academic and industry partners to advance digitalization.
What you'll do#
- Develop data pipelines and machine learning models alongside data scientists and engineers.
- Research and implement machine learning algorithms and tools.
- Test and optimize data and machine learning pipelines, including training or retraining models.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure code is maintainable, scalable, and easy to debug.
- Maintain high code quality through unit and integration testing.
- Perform continuous analysis and manage requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Canadian university (Bachelor's 3rd or 4th year, Master's, or PhD program) on a full-time basis.
- Experience in software development and programming, specifically Java, Python, and machine learning libraries.
- A minimum 2.7 GPA on a 4.0 scale or equivalent.
- Fluency in both French and English, as this role involves working with global teams and stakeholders across Canada.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week.
- Familiarity with data science, machine learning concepts, and networking or wireless telecommunication technologies is considered an asset.
Location & details#
- Location: Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Term: Winter 2027 (starting January 11, 2027) for a duration of 4 or 8 months.
