About the role#
Huawei Canada is seeking a Co-op Researcher for an 8-16 month term. This position focuses on the research and development of advanced technologies within the fields of machine learning and computer vision.
What you'll do#
- Research and develop state-of-the-art technology in computer vision and machine learning.
- Work on video and image understanding and synthesis tasks using deep learning techniques.
- Optimize algorithms and machine learning models while considering mobile computing constraints.
What you'll need#
- Experience applying machine learning or computer vision to real-world problems.
- A solid grasp of basic computer vision concepts and techniques.
- Proficiency in Python and at least one deep learning framework, such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Academic research experience, such as participation in paper publishing, is an asset.
- Skills in OpenCV, mobile app development, photo editing, or image/video generation AI (e.g., Stable Diffusion, Flux) are considered an asset.
