About the role#
This Electrical Engineering Co-op position offers the opportunity to expand your technical and professional skills in a real-world setting. You will receive support and mentorship from experienced managers while working on meaningful projects. Assignments rotate through departments including the engineering lab, computer-aided engineering, and product engineering. You will gain experience through feasibility studies, product design, and the development process.
What you'll do#
- Conduct tests using various types of lab equipment.
- Build circuit board prototypes using through-hole and surface mount technologies.
- Create schematics and PCB layouts used to design embedded circuit boards on CAD.
- Learn C programming of microcontrollers.
- Design, build, and test complete circuit boards.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to work full-time during the scheduled semester.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States. Sponsorship is not provided.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher.
- Ability to return for multiple co-op rotations.
- Previous work or project experience related to hardware and firmware.
- Experience with C, C++, and Python.
- Experience with circuit board design.
- Sophomore or Junior class status.
