    About the role#

    As an Electrical Design Engineer Intern, you will gain practical experience by working on various engineering projects. You will support ABB operations, enhance your skills, and contribute to team goals. This role reports to the Engineering Manager.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist in developing or modifying engineering designs, drawings, and calculations.
    • Participate in design reviews and perform necessary updates.
    • Maintain accurate documentation and assist with version control.
    • Support and lead continuous improvement projects using standard engineering tools.
    • Collaborate with various teams to ensure effective coordination and timely project completion.
    • Identify suitable solutions for clients by leveraging insights into customer needs and ABB offerings.
    • Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions.
    • Seek regular feedback from your manager and team members to improve your performance.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Electrical Engineering in the United States.
    • Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
    • Reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
    • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
    • Capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining high quality.
    • Strong critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions.
    • Ability to collaborate with team members to share information and provide project updates.

    • Location: Fort Smith, Arkansas.
    • Term: Summer 2027.
    • Modality: On-site or hybrid.
    • Employment type: Full time.
    • Compensation: $20 to $34 per hour, depending on qualifications, graduation year, and experience.
