About the role#
This internship offers practical experience within the IS Project Management Office. You will work on various projects to support ABB operations while building your own professional skills. This is a full-time, paid position for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with teams to support operations and ensure projects finish on time.
- Identify solutions for clients by using insights about customer needs and company offerings.
- Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions.
- Seek regular feedback from your manager and team members to improve your performance.
- Support physical security initiatives, including camera systems, access cards, badge configuration, and site upgrades.
- Assist with infrastructure tasks such as conference rooms, printers, Wi-Fi, digital signage, and database management.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Computer Science or a related field.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
- Reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
- Ability to think critically to analyze complex situations and develop solutions.
- Skill in organizing and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines while maintaining quality.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks at once.
- Strong communication skills to share information and provide project updates.

- This role is based in Cary, North Carolina.
- The work modality is on-site or hybrid.
- The expected pay range is $20 to $34 per hour, depending on qualifications, graduation year, and experience.
