About the role#
As a Project Management Intern, you will support the engineering team with project planning, execution, and financial performance. You will help break down large project plans into manageable sub-tasks and assist in improving operational efficiency. This role requires working in a temperature-controlled environment and involves collaborating with customers and stakeholders to define project requirements.
What you'll do#
- Read and follow established procedures and manuals.
- Maintain project documentation and handle administrative organization of key information.
- Support problem solving, conflict resolution, and solution development.
- Drive open issues to closure using a plan-do-check loop.
- Manage and communicate project tasks and commitments to team members.
- Proactively manage scope, identify risks, and develop contingency plans.
- Assist the project manager with proposal development for new projects.
- Optimize and improve work processes and methodologies.
- Support team targets and key performance indicators.
- Follow all safety guidelines and comply with company policies.
- Perform duties that may include working weekends and holidays when necessary.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 1-5 years of project coordinator experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Project.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and motivational skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
- Detail oriented mindset with the ability to persuade through data and analysis.
- Experience with team-based problem solving.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
- Experience with Lithium-Ion batteries, Battery Management Systems, or software is preferred.
- Experience with energy storage device product development and launch is a plus.

- Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan.
- This is a full-time, on-site, paid internship.
- The term is rolling.
