About the role#
East Penn Manufacturing is hiring a Medical Intern for the Summer 2027 term. You will work with the Occupational Health and Medical Services team to support clinical operations and administrative tasks in a manufacturing environment. This role offers exposure to employee medical screenings, record management, and workplace safety protocols.
What you'll do#
- Manage physician appointment calendars and schedules.
- Support the administration of the occupational health management encounter log.
- Assist Medical Assistants with procedures such as spirometry, hearing assessments, blood pressure checks, and drug screenings.
- Maintain medical records and create files for new hires.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage stock rooms using Somax.
- Help with basic clinical tasks like sterilizing equipment and assisting with employee triage.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student in a healthcare field, such as Nursing, Public Health, Biology, Kinesiology, or Health Administration.
- Sophomore standing or higher is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
