About the role#
This internship offers hands-on experience in procurement and supply chain management at East Penn Manufacturing. You will work with experienced professionals to learn how purchasing decisions affect business operations. You will support the team with daily tasks and contribute to projects related to the purchasing cycle.
What you'll do#
- Research and identify potential suppliers and vendors.
- Help evaluate proposals and negotiate pricing.
- Support the team in managing inventory levels and stock orders.
- Conduct market research to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
- Prepare and maintain documentation such as purchase orders and contracts.
- Participate in supplier meetings and help build professional relationships.
- Work with cross-functional teams to support procurement strategies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
