About the role#
This internship offers hands-on experience across multiple functions within the Human Resources department. You will rotate through various teams to understand how HR supports a large utility organization. This program is designed for students to gain practical skills while contributing to real business objectives.
What you'll do#
- Provide support to managers and employees regarding performance management, employee development, and relations.
- Gain exposure to compensation design, incentive administration, and health and wellness benefits.
- Assist with HR technology, project management, data analytics, and payroll processes.
- Help facilitate the resolution of workplace issues, including investigations and the application of employment policies.
- Partner with HR teams to support diversity and inclusion strategies and data reporting.
- Assist with measuring and operationalizing employee engagement programs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master's degree program at an accredited college or university.
- A graduation date no earlier than December 2027.
- A cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
- Foundational knowledge of current human resources practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to work lawfully in the United States without sponsorship.

- Location: Charlotte, North Carolina.
- Term: Summer 2027 (10-12 weeks).
- Modality: Hybrid, with work performed both remotely and onsite.
- Status: Full-time (40-hour work week).
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
