About the role#
This internship position is part of the Advanced Manufacturing Technology team. You will support the deployment of automation equipment and software systems. This role is based at our headquarters in Bloomington, Minnesota, and involves interaction with global teams across Europe, Asia, and Latin America.
What you'll do#
- Support the development and deployment of SCADA software applications and manufacturing data systems.
- Assist with database setup, data migration, reporting, dashboards, and data analytics projects.
- Develop and maintain databases, data visualization tools, and reporting systems for manufacturing operations.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and IT teams to improve operational performance through data and automation.
- Configure and maintain manufacturing databases while supporting system integration efforts.
- Develop SCADA screens, reports, and dashboards.
- Analyze manufacturing data to create visualizations.
- Assist with Industry 4.0 and digital manufacturing initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled undergraduate pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a closely related major.
- Familiarity with SQL, databases, data analytics, or software development concepts.
- Experience with Python, C++, R, or other programming languages.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Interest in manufacturing systems, automation, industrial software, or data science.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to manufacturing locations.
