About the role#
Dominion Energy is seeking a Mechanical Engineering intern for the Rapid Response Design Engineering department at the Millstone Power Station in Waterford, Connecticut. This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027. You will work alongside senior engineers to support the design basis, reliability, and operation of the station.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and support the implementation of design changes and modifications.
- Assist with projects managed by Station Design, Station Projects, and external vendors.
- Develop or update engineering calculations.
- Perform inspections of station equipment and structures.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ABET-accredited Mechanical Engineering program at a 4-year university.
- A graduation date of December 2028 or later.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- An inquisitive nature, professional ethics, and the ability to work well within a team.
