About the role#
This internship provides practical engineering experience within our transmission operations. You will support transmission line field crews and contribute to ongoing maintenance and repair efforts.
What you'll do#
- Support transmission line field crews with daily operations.
- Assist with material planning and procurement tasks.
- Support maintenance initiatives.
- Contribute to engineering solutions for transmission line repairs and emergency response activities.
What you'll need#
- You must be working toward an ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering degree.
- Your graduation date must be Spring 2028 or later.
- A GPA of 2.5 or above is required.
- Foundational knowledge of engineering principles and methodologies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and engineering software tools.
- Ability to interpret technical information, standards, and engineering practices.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate within a team environment.
- Ability to safely lift, carry, and maneuver equipment.
- Ability to work in both office and field environments.

- Location: Glen Allen, Virginia.
- This is an on-site, full-time, paid internship.
