About the role#
Dominion Energy is seeking an Instrument Technician Intern for the Chesterfield Power Station in Chester, Virginia. This role offers hands-on experience in power station operations and maintenance. You will work alongside experienced technicians to gain exposure to industrial maintenance practices and power generation equipment.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the inspection, testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of instrumentation used to control and monitor plant equipment.
- Support preventative maintenance activities.
- Collect and analyze operational data.
- Participate in equipment inspections.
- Assist with projects focused on instrumentation and control systems.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in an Associate's degree program in Instrumentation, Industrial Technology, Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Expected graduation date of Fall 2028 or 2029.
- A GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to learn and apply technical concepts in an industrial environment.
- Basic analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and work instructions.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrated initiative and a willingness to learn.

- Compensation: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour.
