About the role#
Dominion Energy is seeking an Instrument Technician Intern for the Virginia City Hybrid Center in St Paul, Virginia. This role offers hands-on experience in power station operations and maintenance. You will work alongside experienced technicians to gain exposure to industrial maintenance practices, plant operations, and power generation equipment.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the inspection, testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of instrumentation used to monitor and control plant equipment.
- Support preventative maintenance activities.
- Collect and analyze data.
- Participate in equipment inspections.
- Assist with projects related to instrumentation and control systems.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Associate's degree program in Instrumentation, Industrial Technology, Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Expected graduation date in 2028 or 2029.
- Minimum 2.5 GPA.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to learn and apply technical concepts in an industrial environment.
- Basic analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and work instructions.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated initiative and willingness to learn.
