About the role#
Dominion Energy is seeking a GIS Development Data Analyst to join our team in Cayce, South Carolina. This role focuses on the development of GIS software applications and the delivery of complex analytics based on modeled GIS data. You will work with various internal clients, including IT management and project analysts, to improve how we present and utilize geospatial information.
What you'll do#
- Build and maintain GIS software applications.
- Collect, store, and analyze GIS data to support business needs.
- Create maps and graphs to present technical information clearly.
- Conduct research and compile data from satellite imagery, existing maps, and field observations.
- Advise clients on the effective use of geospatial technologies.
- Collaborate with team members to support specific project requirements.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in Computer Science, Geography/GIS, Environmental Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A graduation date of 2028 or later.
- A cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
- The ability to work well within a team environment.

- Compensation: $22.00 to $28.00 per hour.
