About the role#
This internship supports Electric Transmission project activities under the guidance of project advisors and experienced team members. You will gain exposure to project management practices, utility operations, and the planning and execution of transmission projects. This role involves work performed with direction and review, with increasing responsibility as you gain knowledge.
What you'll do#
- Assist with project coordination, documentation, and scheduling support.
- Help gather data, track project status, and communicate with internal stakeholders.
- Prepare project materials and update project trackers.
- Organize meeting notes.
- Support budget and schedule monitoring.
- Assist with basic research or analysis related to transmission projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student in a 4-year degree program for Business, Project Management, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date of Spring 2028 or later.
- Minimum GPA of 2.5.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow established processes, manage assigned tasks, and maintain accurate records.
- Willingness to ask questions and seek guidance.
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing priorities.
- Preferred: Prior coursework or experience in engineering, construction management, telecommunication, business, project management, or energy.
