About the role#
The Electric Transmission Services Intern supports project controls, data management, and business operations. You will gain experience in utility project execution by assisting with forecasting, cost and schedule performance monitoring, and asset information management. This role involves working with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Construction, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure the successful planning and maintenance of the electric transmission system.
What you'll do#
- Assist with project cost, schedule, and performance reporting.
- Support project controls through data updates, analysis, and monitoring.
- Manage data collection and asset information updates.
- Help coordinate materials and related business processes.
- Develop reports, documentation, and process improvements for special projects.
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand transmission operations and project execution.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor or master degree program in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Completion of freshman year with a cumulative GPA above 3.0.
- Basic understanding of GAAP and business principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to collect, organize, and interpret data.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work both independently and in a team.
- Valid driver license.

- This is an on-site position located in Glen Allen, Virginia.
- The internship is full-time and follows a rolling schedule.
