About the role#
This position supports the DES-100-A Lab 1 course taught by Jo Cronk during the Fall 2026 term. You will assist the instructor in the classroom, help students with course material, and handle grading tasks. This is a paid, part-time student role requiring 5 to 10 hours of work per week. Employment runs from August 31 to December 15, 2026.
What you'll do#
- Grade student assignments and upload results to Moodle.
- Provide constructive feedback to students on their work.
- Assist students during in-person labs on campus.
- Meet with students online if they request additional help.
- Help with classroom setup, slide decks, or student presentations as needed.
- Track and report your hours worked.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a matriculated student at DigiPen Institute of Technology.
- Proven proficiency with Unity and visual scripting.
- A grade of B or better in DES-100.
- Ability to attend at least one lab section in its entirety. The lab meets Mondays from 2:00 to 4:20 p.m.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to help peers excel.
- Comfort interacting with other students as a mentor.
- Punctuality and the ability to focus on classroom duties during work hours.
- You must reside in the State of Washington while working.
Location & details#
- Work is on-site in Redmond, Washington.
- You cannot work during times when you have a scheduled class.
- Wage range is $17.13 to $18.25 per hour, based on your previous terms worked at DigiPen.
