About the role#
DigiPen Institute of Technology is seeking a Student Teaching Assistant for the DES-100-A Lab 1 course for the Fall 2026 term. This position involves supporting the instructor and students during lab sessions, providing academic feedback, and assisting with administrative grading tasks. This is a paid, part-time position requiring 5-10 hours of work per week.
What you'll do#
- Grade student work and provide constructive feedback.
- Assist students in person during on-campus labs.
- Meet with students online if requested.
- Upload grades and maintain records on Moodle.
- Facilitate student presentations and assist with classroom equipment operation.
- Attend weekly meetings with the instructor for performance feedback.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a matriculated student at DigiPen Institute of Technology.
- Proven proficiency with Unity and visual scripting.
- Completion of DES-100 with a grade of B or better.
- Ability to attend at least one lab section in its entirety.
- A positive attitude and the ability to mentor other students.
- Punctuality and the ability to maintain focus during work hours.
- Must reside within the state of Washington.
Location & details#
- Location: Redmond, Washington.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Term: August 31, 2026 – December 15, 2026.
- Wage: $17.13 - $18.25 per hour, based on experience at DigiPen.
- Eligibility: Applicants must be in good academic standing with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5. Students may not work during any time they have a scheduled class.
