About the role#
DigiPen Institute of Technology is seeking a Student Teaching Assistant for the CS-100 Computer Environment course for the Fall 2026 term. This position supports students in labs and office hours while assisting with course administration. Applicants must be currently matriculated students at DigiPen residing within the State of Washington.
What you'll do#
- Set up and tear down classroom equipment as needed.
- Grade student work and lab reports using provided guidelines.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to ensure clarity and consistency.
- Assist students during lab sessions and scheduled office hours.
- Meet with students online if required.
- Track and report hours worked.
What you'll need#
- Successful completion of the CS-100 course with a grade of B or better.
- Proven proficiency with course material, including electrical components and assembly language programming.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to provide professional critique.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a willingness to mentor fellow students.
- Ability to work independently.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher and good academic standing.
Location & details#
- Location: Redmond, Washington.
- Term: Fall 2026 (August 31 - December 18, 2026).
- Modality: On-site.
- Hours: Minimum of 3 hours per week, selected from the 12 hours of total lab availability (Thursdays 12:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. and Fridays 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.).
- Compensation: $17.13 - $18.25 per hour, based on previous terms worked at DigiPen.
- Physical requirements: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform tasks involving lifting, carrying, and fine finger dexterity.
