About the role#
This position is for a Student Teaching Assistant for the CS-100 Computer Environment course during the Fall 2026 term. You will support students in labs, assist with grading, and ensure the classroom is prepared for instruction. This role requires a minimum of three hours of availability during scheduled lab times.
What you'll do#
- Set up and tear down the classroom as needed.
- Grade student lab reports and assignments using provided guidelines.
- Provide constructive, clear, and consistent feedback to students.
- Assist students in labs and during office hours, including online meetings if required.
- Track and report hours worked.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a matriculated student at DigiPen Institute of Technology.
- Successful completion of the CS-100 course with a B or better.
- Proven proficiency with course material and comfort with electrical components and assembly language programming.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to provide professional critiques.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a willingness to mentor fellow students.
- Ability to work independently.
Location & details#
- Location: Redmond, Washington.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Term: Fall 2026 (August 31 to December 18, 2026).
- Hours: Minimum of 3 hours per week.
- Wage: $17.13 - $18.25 per hour, based on previous terms worked at DigiPen.
- Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform tasks requiring fine finger dexterity.
- Note: Students may not work during any time they have a class scheduled.
