About the role#
The Fall 2026 DNC Technology Internship is a program designed to provide hands-on experience in Democratic political technology. Interns will work on projects supporting the Tech team, gain exposure to data and analytics processes, and strengthen their understanding of the political process. This role involves collaborating with mentors, participating in team meetings, and networking with DNC leadership and staff. The program runs from September 8, 2026, to November 13, 2026, with a commitment of 20 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Work on projects tailored to support the Tech team and your specific skill set in areas such as data analytics, engineering, product, or security.
- Assist the DNC Operations team by attending weekly phone shifts.
- Participate in team meetings, professional development training, and DNC functions.
- Engage in grassroots organizing opportunities.
- Complete mandatory onboarding and offboarding sessions.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least one semester of computer programming-related courses or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with programming or spreadsheet software, such as Excel or Google Sheets.
- Ability to solve problems independently and a willingness to learn new technologies.
- Strong communication skills.
- Must be 18 years of age or older by the start of the internship.
- Must be a current student, a recent graduate (within two years), or a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces.
- Must be located in the United States.
