About the role#
The Rapid Social internship offers hands-on experience within the Digital Rapid Response team, part of the DNC's Content and Creative department. Interns will learn to operate within the current media ecosystem to inform the daily political conversation. This role involves collaborating with the Mobilization team and various departments to communicate and educate the public on political issues using design and digital media.
What you'll do#
- Create and design social graphics and posts.
- Live-clip events to amplify content on social media.
- Produce videos for high-impact social moments.
- Learn new tools and techniques to improve workflow efficiency.
- Pull and analyze social metrics on a weekly basis.
- Collaborate with the research team on media monitoring and larger projects.
What you'll need#
- Must be at least 18 years of age by the start of the internship.
- Must meet one of the following: currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, graduated from an undergraduate or graduate program within the last two years, or be a veteran of the United States Armed Forces with a high school diploma.
- Ability to commit to 20 hours per week.
- Proficiency in Figma and Premiere Pro, with a basic understanding of Adobe Suite.
- Ability to manage a content calendar and work under tight, rapid-response deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and familiarity with current social media trends.
- Must be physically present in the United States.

- Location: Washington, District of Columbia (Hybrid).
- Term: Fall 2026 (September 8, 2026 – November 13, 2026).
- Compensation: This is a paid internship with a $3,000 stipend.
- Relevant Majors: Communications, Graphic Design, Political Science, Media Studies, and Journalism.
